In my 40's and 40 lbs to lose
 
Hi :)
I joined 3FC long long time ago, I'm a pro yo-yo dieter but now I'm in my heaviest ever: whooping 184 lbs :?: not even during my 2 pregnancies I was so heavy.
I must admit that the last 6 years have been rough for me, I lost my husband when I was 34 due lung cancer and became a widow with a 10 months-old baby in my arms. During this time I grieved, tried to take care of my son and basically tried to survive, one day at time. Two years into my grieving process I met my current partner, got pregnant and had to move to a new country and learn a new language. Since moving to Switzerland I'm a staying at home mum. My life has been so rough in the last years that I guess I overindulge and the result iss that now I'm almost 50 lbs heavier than before my first pregnancy. I feel that now I'm emotionally recovered and want to regain control of my life, that includes my weight. I hope to find support here and if possible make some friends on the way :)

I have to say that sometimes like just isn't so linear. I don't struggle to say that anyone who has had to go through and overcome the things you just spoke about would be so busy dealing with day to day life that things like losing weight just don't make the action priority list. However since your back on I would just like to suggest looking into intermittent fasting with youtube and just watch a lot of videos and maybe give it a shot. It seems to be one of the most effective ways for many to lose weight nowadays. Hope it helps and hope you lose the excess weight soon!

Thanks for taking your time to write a message. I'm gonna read more about IF, sounds kind of hard but to lose 40 lbs you need extraordinary measures.
