New lady!

Hello community,

I stumbled across this great resource just as I am ready to finally take control of my weight. I am 33 years old and have been a plus size girl since age 13. I have always been happy and proud of my body. I was involved in sports and walked everywhere. As an adult, the responsibilities of life have really forced me to put myself on the back burner. I wear many hats in life: mother of 2 sweet girls, wife to a adorable man, night shift hospital worker, student, homeowner, etc :dizzy: I stepped on a scale last week for the first time in a year and it read 310lbs!!!!! I have NEVER been this weight and I don't like it one bit. So, I am beginning 21-day fix today and plan to start there. I have a lot of work to do. I am scared for what this journey will mean for my body, but am also really excited! I look forward to having you all here as support! :)

Welcome! Jump in where you feel like you’d be comfortable. I have found this to be a good source for support and help - you need friendly on this journey! You weighed yourself, maybe what will help you too to keep track of your journey is find a sewing tape measure and take down your starting size bust/waist/hips. I say this because sometimes the scale isnt moving like we’d like, yet our body continues to reshape. It’s aomething I’ve done and on those low moments it’s nice to go and see that things are indeed getting smaller!

Good luck to you!
