Setting new goals, from San Diego, CA

Hello Everyone!
My name is Jane. I am 27 years old and I live in San Diego California. I've always been self conscious about my weight since middle school and I've had my battles with over exercising and starvation and abuse of laxatives. As I grew older my priorities shifted as I cared less about my body and more about where I was headed in life. I changed majors multiple times and I am so glad to say that I recently graduated with my Bachelor's in Nursing and passed my licensure exam! This has been one of my greatest accomplishments. But now I want to conquer another goal of mine that was put on the back burner for many years. I am 5'2 and weigh about 160. My goal weight is to get down to 130 by May of this year because of my brother's upcoming wedding. This wedding is not only a family reunion, but a high school reunion as well (which frankly i dont know which is worse, haha).

I know my eating habits are not the best and I know i need to develop an exercise routine to stick to. But I feel as though If i can survive and push through Nursing School, I can achieve so much more. I look forward to hearing from you all and supporting each other as we push through together! :D

Welcome, Jane! :welcome2:

First of all, congratulations on graduating and getting licensed! That is a huge deal and a very challenging accomplishment! :yay: :yay:

Reaching 130 by May is doable but will definitely take focus and work. But after graduating nursing school, you're no stranger to either thing, I imagine!

There's a lot of good information and support here. The old threads are great for info, and the newer active threads have support for daily habit or diet changes, weight loss challenges, and a bunch of other stuff.
