Seeking Support, Advice, and Motivation

Hi Everyone,

I'm new to this site and I am really excited to jumpstart my fitness journey. Over the last 5 years, I have gained a lot of weight due to depression, overeating, emotional eating, leading a sedentary lifestyle, and not putting myself first, so I am trying to get healthier and learn to love my body again. I've managed to lose some weight over the last 4 months but have hit a plateau and need more sources of motivation to continue towards my goal. I am hoping to find support and new friendships with this community. I am always looking for advice with meal ideas as well as workouts. I cannot wait to make progress and hopefully make new friends along the way.

Congratulations on the weight loss so far! Plateaus are hard ... but you've come a long way and it can take the body a while to adjust. If you stay on plan it will start moving again.

My story is almost identical, right down to the last 5 years part. Welcome aboard :)

And I'd like to add my congratulations on your lost weight.
