Smile Hello, I'm new.

I'm Cathy and I like most I struggle with my weight. I currently weigh 100.2 kg and I'm not happy about that. I've started going to a gym and I saw a trainer who helped me develop a workout plan. He also suggested I try a support group so here I am. My main issue is the dieting part of it all because I have a love/hate relationship with food and I lack the self control to eat healthy. I am hoping to gain knowledge on how to overcome my bad eating habits.

So there it is...

Hi Cathy! Welcome to 3FC!

I think if you read the threads, you'll find a food solution that will work for you. I'm personally a fan of Primal Blueprint and the Whole 30. A whole foods, lower carb approach works really well for me and I never feel like I'm starving.

to 3FC Cathy!

Nice to have you here. You've taken some huge steps to take care of your health. I belonged to a gym for years before I ever set foot in it to work out because I felt so intimidated. Then it was a couple of more years before I screwed up my courage to meet with a trainer. I agree that the battle is really in the food but you absolutely have the self-control to master your food. It may take some time to figure out what is best for YOU in terms of diet and exercise and that's perfectly fine. None of us got fat overnight, right?

Make yourself at home on these threads. Explore, look around and read the comments of others. They can be quite the inspiration and there is lots of good advice to be found in them. Maybe in time one of the many challenges will 'speak' to you and you'll join one of those. I don't know how old you are but some of the threads are broken up by decade, but feel free to post anywhere you feel comfortable. I hope you post often.

Again, welcome!
