Hey everyone
Hey everyone! :D
I am new here so I thought I would introduce myself. I am a 30 year old stay at home mom and I also help take care of my grandmother. My son is 10 and he has asperger's syndrome so he requires a lot of my attention. I have struggled with my weight since I was a teenager. Unfortunately, I didn't get blessed with the best of genes. My dad is a short and stocky man while my mother is about average height but she also has weight issues. My great grandmother on my father's side was a heavy set woman and my grandmother on my dad's side isn't the smallest of women either. I have yo-yo dieted, eaten my weight in diet pulls, and done just about every exercise on television that I came across. When I became pregnant, I gained about 40 pounds and a year later, I did lose about half of it. Over the years though, I have gained back the weight and more. I was recently diagnosed with bi-polar disorder and OCD a year ago so being on that kind of medication has made the weight gain easier to achieve. Also, I just found out I have a under active thyroid so that hasn't made losing weight any easier. Now I am working on losing weight again. I am using Weight Watchers and my doctor placed me on thyroid medicine as well as Phentermine. I can't exercise much due to a back injury but I am going to be begin trying to walk and doing what low impact exercises I can in order to try and get some activity in my life. Well anyway, I am sorry for the long post. TLDR; I am working on losing weight and trying to be serious about it now. Anyway, that is my intro. A long one but hey, at least there is a more about me out there lol |
