Middle aged spread AND baby weight to lose

Hi all, I had a surprise baby 9 months ago near my 44th birthday and my middle aged body hasn't coped very well :( I stacked on a little over 30kgs throughout the pregnancy :dizzy: I'm now sitting at 96kg and aiming for 60kgs...I've gotta do this for my kid(s), I need to be around to see my bubba grow up!

:welcome2: Welcome to 3FC! We're glad to have you here!

Congratulations on your baby! If it helps at all, my mother had her last child at 42 years old, and she was able to lose quite a lot of weight afterward. She was definitely obese after the birth, but managed to adapt and made enough changes to lose weight. You can do this!

I think doing this for yourself and for your children is a good goal. It focuses on health above other things, and it sets a great example for your kids. There are a lot of resources and support here for you.

Welcome again!

Thanks for the warm welcome Penny, looks like you've done really well and nearly at your goal weight, well done!
