Newbie
Hi everyone - I'm new here too - obvs So a little about me. I just turned 50 on Wednesday, am a mother to a daughter (almost 21) and a 19 yo son. Both kids in college and live away during school year so I'm an empty nester! Boy did that time go fast! Weight for me has been a slow creep. When I had both my kids I did not gain more than 30 - 40 lbs and would lose it. Then suddenly it started to stay on. I kept thinking after I hit 165 - that was my rock bottom but sadly nope. Now as of this morning I am 204 and 5 '4". I'm uncomfortable, sad, depressed but am doing nothing really to change it. So here I am - wanting to stop putting the weight on, get healthy but yet I still don't do what is necessary. So anyhoo - that along with a million other things are going on in my life and just thought I'd get some support regarding it. Thanks everyone for listening.

Welcome to 3FC!! I'll be 50 in May and I have one son who will be 26 in July. I put on much more weight in my pregnancy with him (about 60 pounds) and I never really lost it. Then I put even more pounds on over the years. I am bound and determined that my 50th year on this planet will be the one where I get to a healthy weight!! I know it's harder at our age but we can do it!!! Hugs, Rene aka gabby |
