My Silly Thyroid Won't Slow Me Down!
Hey all!
My name is Alice and I am from Michigan. I have been diagnosed (recently) with Hashimoto's and a severe Vitamin D deficiency (5 ng/ml). I had been gaining weight like crazy for the past couple of years and nothing I was trying was helping it come off or slow down.:?: Most of the time my docs would keep repeating for me eat less and move more, but I started getting so tired and depressed that it was hard to get myself to workout as much as they wanted me to do. I switched insurance companies and had to find a new doctor and they actually did a blood test and found out about my thyroid and Vit D issues! I never want anything to be wrong with me, but at least it is something I can work with.:carrot: I'm on prescription supplement Vit D and medication for my thyroid, so hopefully that will help my energy levels and thyroid function so I can get back out there again! I am currently looking to lose 67 lbs and go from 217 lbs to 150 lbs. I like to use Youtube to find workout videos and have made a decent playlist. I graduated from college in December and would love to start my career in better health! Looking forward to meeting new people on this forum! |
Hello!
I am glad you got some answers. It can be frustrating to be feeling unwell and not knowing why. I had the opposite problem (Graves). Welcome! |
