Giving weight loss another try
Hey!
So I have been fat literally since I was a fetus, although my weight has yoyoed a fair amount. I want nothing more than to give up, but that would be pretty mean to my fiance since I know he wants children and it is not safe for me to be pregnant at my alarming weight of 230 pounds, so here we go again. I am going to try to treat this as an issue of learned helplessness this time around and focus on making small changes and celebrating them (e.g. taking a walk every day, eating the right amount of fruits and vegetables) to hopefully build enough confidence to give it another push. This community really helped me lose a large chunk of weight when I was 16, so I'm hopin' it will help this time too! |
Hello and welcome!!! Small changes and continuous efforts is what will get you to your goal!! That is what I have been doing, Started with changing my eating habits for a month, then started walking in the morning and afternoon, and so on. this is still a great community and can be a huge support system when you feel like you are alone with your journey.
