Hello From The Yo-Yo!
Hey all! I just joined a few days ago. So, I'm looking forward to the support!
Ok, so, I've been on WW PointsPlus systems for years. Well.....I was on it. And then I lost like 20 lbs or so. Thought I had everything under control....gained DOUBLE the weight back....and because of this, hit like a huge depression as far as my weight. I tried to start my diet back up 2 or 3 times, but just couldn't get it. However, about 2 months ago, I had a really good heart-to-heart with myself and I started back on the program strong as well as working out. And I've seen progress.....but limited. I'll lose 2 lbs....then gain 1 I'l lose 1 lb....and then gain 3 This past week I lost 5 lbs and was SO happy. But when I weighed today (Mondays are my weigh day), I unfortunately gained 2 lbs. But How??? I go to the gym every other day, and then on my "off days", I do yoga. I RARELY go over my points, and I typically eat the exact same 2 options for my breakfast and lunch. Any tips and pointers as to what can stop the yo-yo'ing? With 2 months passed, I feel like I should have lost at least 10 lbs :(. |
Weight naturally fluctuates, so this might just be totally normal. I will lose for a few days and then gain for a few days. Twice a month my cycle makes me hold water weight and I gain again. It's all over the place. But overall, it balances out and I'm still losing. You could try the happy scale or libra app, they both put your weigh ins into a nice graph that shows your overall downward trend. It has been super helpful for me.
If that's not the case, and you really aren't losing anything, you may need to adjust your points down. Or cut out some of the fruit and other "free" foods. If you aren't seeing results, make an adjustment. You could always try calorie counting if WW isn't getting results. Hopefully more people will chime in with some advice. Good luck! |
:welcome3: Goal_Reacher! Just keep giving it your best effort! Like LesGetFit said, weight fluctuates naturally. If you did nothing, it would fluctuate, and if you dieted perfectly, it would fluctuate. The good news is it's caused by water and you can lose water just as easily as you gain it, so it's nothing to get upset about. Just stay on plan and you'll see that the lows on your scale steadily continue to go down. Good luck!
