Hello from NY!
I am a math teacher from NYC. During my summer off, I was SUPPOSED to re-double my efforts to lose weight. I joined a weight-loss support group back in September and I’ve lost 40 pounds so far...but I lost those 40 pounds several months ago. I’ve been losing and gaining the same 10 pounds or so since January. While I am glad that I haven’t gained more than 10 pounds, it’s still frustrating to be stuck for so long. Also, I’m not stuck in the sense of “I don’t know why this is happening”. I KNOW I’m still making poor food choices and I’m not sticking to an exercise plan. I’m hoping to change that a little bit at a time, though. :D

Welcome Tigerstar! It's wonderful that you recognize your eating habits aren't the best, sometimes I think half the battle is really coming out of denial and admitting that we eat much more poorly than we should! The other great thing is that you KNOW you can lose weight, you have done so before, so now you are here and making changes and you are going to find success again!! Baby steps are sooo important, so you have the right idea! I look forward to following your journey as I am just 3 weeks into my own. It's great to share successes...even tiny ones!
Good Luck! Shannon |
