Looking for some help here :)
Hello everyone, I am interested in joining this community to try and work on my weight and fitness. I would like to drop weight, a lot actually, and get in to being more consistent at riding my bike and just being more active. I am not going for the "model thin" look...I finally realize that isn't what I want. I want to feel better and be more comfortable in my own skin. I am not interested in any drastic form of dieting....I don't feel like that is a sustainable thing, and I need something for the long haul. I'd love to hear about things that have worked well for you. Thanks so much for sharing!

:welcome: Mimiseh! Glad you found us! It's a great community, so take a look around and jump right in! Some forums and threads are more active, and some not very active at all, but you'll figure that out. As for what works for me, I am doing a modified version of Tim Ferriss' Slow Carb Diet. It's a low carb diet. It worked well for me the first time I did it (wish I hadn't gotten away from it), and it's working well for me again now. Some people do better with calorie counting. It's very popular. Weight Watchers works for some people, Ideal protein for others, Atkins for others, etc. There are sub-forums and threads that address all of them under the Diet Central forum. There is also an exercise forum and more. So like I said, take a look around, and start posting! I wish you the best!
