New Member...Again

Hello all. I am a new-ish member (joined in 2012 but was not active).

My name is Toni, and I am morbidly obese.

I am 30 years old, and have a wonderful 4 year old son.

I have battled a food addiction most of my adult life, and it's definitely taken its toll on me physically and emotionally. I think I am finally at a point where I have confessed the true reality of my problem. I'm not young anymore, I'm putting myself at risk for serious health factors if I don't take control of this situation! I need to set an example for my son so he does not face the same issues as his parents.

I cannot, and will not, look at this journey as a diet, but what it is...a journey. A journey to healthier and happier me. I am quite convinced that I can do this on my own, but I would love to have a few people in my corner rooting me on.

My first mini goal is to complete a 5K in July, whether I have to walk, crawl or roll past that finish line!

Thanks for reading...I'm ready to work on me. :)

Way to go!!! What a healthy mind set to start in... Life style change :D I find changing habits a little easier than straight up restrictive dieting. Good luck, and I hope you find all the support here you need! So many people are willing to help, so don't be afraid to ask questions.
