WELL, the answer to that is too many hot chocolate chip cookies, chocolate cake with my BFF, etc. and not enough exercise!! Add middle age to that and suddenly, voile', 140 lbs says the scale. Enough already!! I'm pumped...ready to get my eating habits back in control. I know how to eat, I've just ignored it the last two years. Moving, weddings, family death, etc., just got lost in the stress of it all. Not even a great excuse but it's mine :roll eyes: SO, I believe South Beach is a great fit for me. Note: I also have RA and take 4 mg prednisone everyday...as in the last 20 years! So I am limited on the exercises but I can WALK.
I'm excited to read about the journeys you've all taken whether it is to lose 10 lbs or 110 lbs. I love to cook so especially I am interested in sharing recipes on this forum.
My husband works for a construction company that transfers us all over the country. We are called Sunshine and the Road Lizard by our counterparts and family

We sold our home recently and bought a 44' motor home so that we could be together. We travel with 3 Yorkies and enjoy meeting other people and seeing all this country has to offer. We spend a lot of time in Yellowstone Nat'l Park and love photography. We have 7 grandchildren with two more on the way! Life is good but it will feel much better when I lose this weight that I know has left me with less energy and horrible eating habits. Life is too short not to enjoy it!!
I've rambled, but in short HELLO!!
