Hey

Hey everyone. I just registered today because I need a support group and to help with saboteurs (my boyfriend :p). Many years ago, I had great success on the SBD, but I wasn't mentally ready to change my lifestyle so I gain it all back and then some. January of last year I was 190, but was able to drop down to 175 in 3 months just eating healthy. I managed to maintain that weight for a year, so I am giving it another go and try to lose more weight this time to reach my goal of 120lb (I am 5'1, so that is a good weight for me.)

Gosh we are almost identical in stats and goals!!! I'm lucky though that my husband isnt sabotaging my weight loss on purpose or by accident (but he did bring home like 22 litres of pop home on the weekend). He has his own goals but his is focused on building muscle.

So welcome, and good luck! I know you'll do great since you're all ready on the right track. I don't know how the boyfriend tempts you to eat wrong, but things my husband and I have learned is just being picky when we eat out. We find restaurants and dishes we like to eat that are also healthful. We eat a lot of sushi, we love love love pho, and I get a lot of steak and veggies!!! I also don't don't myself anything. So I will eat the cookie on occasion... Just not fifteen anymore, lol.

I'm still new at this so others will have even greater support! Most of the time we don't need suggestions, we just need ears that understand.

My hubs is very supportive as long as he doesn't have to do anything! Ugh! Makes it difficult when all he wants to eat is pasta, potatoes and bread with everything!

Good luck with your goals! :)

Thanks. My boyfriend doesn't mean any harm. I have a 7 yr old and my boyfriend likes to buy ice cream, cookies, cupcakes, and candy. He claims he is buying it for my son (yeah right). He believes eating in moderation is the best way to go. I had to explain, I don't do moderation. Just tonight he fried some catfish and fries, my favorite, but I resisted. :smug:
