Hello again...
Hello again! I joined 3FC in december 2012, wrote 6 times and that was all! Two years later and 22 pounds heavier, I return...
Yesterday I saw myself in some photographs from last Christmas and was horrified. Somehow I don't see myself that way in the mirror... So I thought, enough is enough. In 2011 I lost 35 pounds by low-carbing... I still needed to lose much more, but all I managed was to keep off those 35 pounds for two years. And then, very slowly, the weight came back, and I am almost at my starting weight again! I can't understand it. I am CONTINUOUSLY reading and thinking about diets. And yet I seem incapable to sticking to one! I have tried "not dieting, just eating healthy", but although that works very well for some people, I think I need a more structured approach. So... I'm returning to low-carb (Dr. Steve Parker-style) not because I don't like bread and pasta (I love them) but because it's the only program where I have had some success... it just turns off my appetite. Heading for the Carb counters sub-forum... right now... |
Hi there!
Oh, I know the feeling. Nutrition used to be my weakest point, but I've been trying to adapt my mindset to start liking nutritional food and its taste instead of just thinking of its nutritional value. Kind of the "just eating healthy" thing you mentioned. I hope the low-carb works for you again! Good luck! :D |
Thank you, wendybirdx!

Hi Pipina, welcome back :)
The low carb diet should work, just stay active and dedicated! p.s. I lived in Valencia, Spain for about 6 months a few years back. Absolutely in love with Spain. |
