I've yoyo'd out of control again. I'm. Looking for new ideas.
Sweetlover, what types of approaches have you tried and not liked? Have you liked anything you've tried, e.g. calorie counting, intermittent fasting, but just not sustained it long term?
I think everyone finds things that work for them. The main idea is to find something you know you can do and something you can keep doing for life.
I personally like calorie counting. I use myfitnesspal.com to track my calories daily. I try to exercise a minimum of 3x a week doing things I know I can power through or enjoy. I like running right now, so I'm doing C25K, I also enjoy swimming so once I get a little less ashamed of my body, I may try to do that.
I think you should look into things you know you can handle. I for one, could never handle no or very low carb. My doctor was also very adamant that that was not a good option for me. So, certainly talk to your doctor about diets, especially if you chose one that seems extreme.
Good luck.
