Not New but Starting Over
 

This is not my first time posting on and visiting this community. About a year or so ago I joined and I had success, I lost around 40 pounds. Sadly I have gained all of this back and some more. My life became very stressful and I don't know how to handle stress very well and I have never been one to handle stress well.

I have struggled my entire life with my weight and food. In middle school and high school I had an eating disorder. Then when I got to college I was so miserable that I began to over eat and the numbers on my clothes and scale just kept climbing. Today, I am in my first year of teaching (I took the long route in college, 6 years to finish). I am an EC resource teacher. I am 24, will be 25 in October. I am getting married in June. I weigh 271.4 pounds. My goal is to lose 50 pounds before my wedding. I would really and truly be satisfied with 40 pounds though. After my wedding I want to continue to lose weight and work on my health. This being unhealthy is no longer for me.

Today is going to be Day 1 of starting over and changing my life to become healthy. ;)

Welcome back, Carebear, and congrats on your first year teaching! And on the upcoming wedding. Yep, new job & a wedding to plan - those can be stressful events. But glad you came back. I believe you'll find plenty of old friends ;) who have also returned!

Congrats on your first year of teaching. Its a killer, but it only gets better from there. You can totally make it through. :)
