Go! Stop.. Go! Stop.. Seriously?
Hello everyone :)
So I registered about 10 days ago to get inspired to get into the swing of things and that's about all I did. I may have jogged and counted a calorie here and there but that was the end of it. I literately had to convince myself to make this post so that I can, at least, have some accountability to getting on a diet and being more active. I hope that I can find others struggling like myself and read about other people and their journeys for inspiration. I have done this diet/exercise>weight loss>stop all together>gain it all back>repeat>lather>rinse.. blah. I've tried countless diets and they've all worked, but then I stop.. and well you know, right? Anyway - hello :) |
We have all been there which is how we end up here :)
You are calling yourself out on it, and that is awesome - means you are heading in the right direction! What type of diet are you doing? Calorie Counting exclusively? Or are you still looking around for the "right" diet? |
I'm debating on calorie counting or weight watchers. In the mean time, I've been cutting down on my portions while I decide. I'm not too familiar with the way weight watchers works since the last time I did it (I did it before all these new names it's been given, lol).
I want to be able to enjoy everything but with moderation but understand that I won't get as fast results as if I would do something like south beach. What diet are you on and how is it working for you? |
I am on Opti-fast and it is working AMAZINGLY! A bit of an adjustment during the first week but have been going strong since and as of last week I am down 38 lbs since April. I have my weigh-in tonight and have all fingers and toes crossed to hit the 40lb mark.
It is probably more restrictive than what you are looking for, I am currently doing the Full Fast option which is 5 shakes a day (160 calories each for a total of 800 calories) and no other calorie intake, just lots of water and zero calorie drinks. |
Wow - that is incredible and congrats! I will keep my fingers crossed also for you! I will have to google this Opti-fast and see if it's something I'd be interested in. On certain days I want immediate results, but then I get so frustrated and want to anything I want so then I try to do it in moderation. My problem, I've noticed, is that I jump back and forth from diets that my body is probably like "So what's the game plan today?" and no progress is made because of the jumping around. Blah..
Thanks for your response - I really appreciate it. Good luck tonight :) |
I have a thread on here about my experience so far with Opti-fast and there is a large thread with multiple users on it. Should help you with some questions and I can try and answer any you may have.

Thanks so much, TheSatinPumpkin :) I think that I have decided on counting calories. I've set myself to 1200 calories a day. So far, so good :D

Thanks you plouf!
Nibog, I totally missed your second post with the information! I will definitely look into it and see if it's a right for for me, but I've gotten into counting calories and don't want to switch, yet again hehe. You're awesome for sharing this with me and I can't wait to follow your progress! |
