Howdy everyone!!
Ok, so I just wrote a super long introduction and it somehow did not go through. I will try this again but will keep it short. lol
I started trying to lose weight about 2 years ago when my younger brother passed away. I kept it up for almost a year but was not loosing as much weight as I hoped. I feel off the wagon but go back on at the end of December. I was happy that I only gained back about 8 of the pounds I lost and decided to put my all in it. I keep track of my calories, try to exercise everyday (just started Zumba about a month ago) and drink a lot of water instead of sugary drinks. I started at 248 lbs, I was down to 206 in August of last year. As of December I was back up to 213. As of today I am at 192.8. I have gone from a size 24 pant to a size 16 that even feel loose. A friend gave me some size 12s that I though I would have to hold on to and they fit. A little snug but they fit. My hope is to be between 150-160 since I have a medium build and I am 5' 7". As of today I have lost about 53 lbs total!! :carrot::carrot: |
Hi Corrine. I'm new too & thought I'd say hi. We're the same height & have the same goal weight.:D I love Zumba, but haven't done it much since I regained weight. 53 pounds is awesome!

I am 5' 7 too. I let my weight go up about 18 pounds before my doctor poured a cold bucket of water over my head. I have lost all that over the past two years and have about 6 pounds to go to get where I want to be @ 140 lbs.
I rejoined my Jazzercise class 2.5 years ago, and that's really how I lost it. Jazzercise incorporates weights, bands, balls and floor exercise in the last 20 minutes of class, which builds muscle which burns fat. I haven't felt this good in years. Good luck to you and welcome. |
WOW!!! 53 pounds is awesome! Keep up the good work!

Way to go on your 53 Lbs lost so far!! :cheer: Good luck with your continue efforts!
