Starting again

Hi, I'm new to this forum. I started getting serious about losing weight 3 years ago when stress at work coupled with my weight caused a serious rise in my blood pressure. I saw a dietitian and began a journey to health. I quit the job that was causing the stress and found a better place to work. I went from 294 pounds to 204 in 2 years. Last year I slacked and ended up gaining 50 back. So I am starting over. Right now I am at 244 and my goal is 160. I live in Pennsylvania and I look forward to meeting you.

Hi,
I am starting over too - I have been struggling with weight for the last 10 years. the same 30 pounds.
What's you goal? mine is 1 pound a week. I have a knee problem, so swimming is my only cardio option. How about you? what's your plan?

Hello! I think pepole rarely succeed on their first try to lose weight, so our chances are in our favour the second time! ;)

Welcome to you newbies and good luck on your journeys. I started back in June and took one day at a time and had some falters especially around the holidays but we are all a work in progress and learning. I also probally went on a million diets and been overweight/ then obese for at least 15 years but you have to find the right plan that works for you and realize it has to be a lifestyle change or you will be starting all over again. Jump into the many challenges here, they will keep you accountable and give you motivation.

Hey fellow flower..

Glad to see your post. You can do this again. We both can.

We both deserve it. Hope you enjoy the site.

I am also beginning again. Past the stage of beating myself up over it, that certainly didn't help me lose any weight. Found an IP coach that is serious about helping his patients succeed and that is what I need. Not going to weigh myself at home or get too absorbed in myself this time around but want to focus on changing my behavior so I don't end up at a "starting point" again. I am a Christian and I want to learn how to trust God when I am stressed rather than stuffing myself with food. I know this journey will not be easy but I will come out stronger this time. 40 pounds to lose...starting NOW!
