Hello-
Hi everybody-I'm 37 and an ER nurse at a major hospital. I love love my job and have been there for a little over three years. I haven't lost all the "baby weight" since my daughter was born…in 2002…so, I'm back at it again. I had my most successful weight loss success in south beach, and after trying weight watchers and trying on my own with no success (I did lose 30 lbs with WW but gained it back), I'm going to give south beach a try again. I like how it curbs my cravings for my biggest weaknesses-anything sweet and breads/startches. I've been at it for a little over a week with a 9 lb weight loss so far, so that feels pretty good!
With the type of job I work in I feel like I'm a hypocrite telling a patient they need to lose weight, when I need to do it myself!! So, here I am. I'm not only doing it for that reason, but for myself, my husband, my daughter, and we recently began looking into adoption. I just want to be around for a long time for my family and I want to have fun doing things with them!!!
I'm not very sure what my hang up has been over weight loss. I don't know if I get scared when I start to lose the weight I need to, but I don't know why I would be scared, but that's kind of the feeling I get.
So, my name is Jeanette, I'm 37, my starting weight was 196, currently 187, and I'd like for my ultimate goal to be 125. Here we go! Thanks for reading and I look forward to the discussions on this site!
