Hello future friends!
Hi everyone! I'm new.
There are two very big things in my life that I need to change. Both of them I know are going to be difficult and they're both going to have ups and downs. I'm fat and I have a gambling addiction. I'm 29. I've been married to a wonderful guy for the last 8 years. We currently live in Washington and have been here for the last 3 years. My husband is military and I work in retail. We don't have kids, but we'd love to have some one day if we can get past the infertility issues. I use to be very active. I played softball and enjoyed running. Now it feels like I have trouble just walking at a fast pace. I want that to change. I want to enjoy running again. I'm 5'7 and 292 lbs. My goal is to be 145 lbs. Baby steps for both issues, hoping to change my life for the better. |
Welcome and best of luck to you. One thing I'm going to do is find old pictures of me when I was a healthy weight to inspire me to look like that again. Another thing is since I'm getting married in October, I'm going to put up pictures of wedding dresses and honeymoon vacation locations in places where I normally want to eat or go to for food to remind myself that I have to eat healthy to have what I want. Maybe you could find some mental tricks/reminders to keep you on track, too? I know in a few years I'd like to have a child, and with my current weight I know I'll encounter problems with fertility.
