Hello from Houston!

Hello everyone!! :carrot::carrot:

I used to be here a loooong long time ago. I think I closed that account. Then last week I made up my mind and started the Ideal Protein diet today. I am really excited! So far, so good... but I know it will take a lot of work and self control. Being a mom you usually end up licking off spoons, nibbling while you cook for your children, and so forth. That is taking a lot of conscious effort.

But anyway, I'm excited and looking forward to see results, whatever they may be.

Anyone else on IP? Any secrets or words of encouragement you'd like to share with this noob?

Good luck to a fellow Texan! I'm originally from Dallas!:) and, I know exactly what you mean about licking those spoons...soooo hard to refrain. You'll do it, though...and, it will feel SO good that you did! Best of luck!

Thank you!! :) I'm glad to be back. Last time I was here I was just counting calories and trying to keep a high protein diet on my own. It was not bad at all, but it was hard because I couldn't afford to buy healthy foods at the time (ah, the student life, right?). Now seeing my super hot husband (he did a gastric sleeving surgery back in September) I feel like he deserves better, and I want to be better for myself and for us, and our daughters. So I have plenty of motivation to be back and stick with it!

I feel very proud that I didn't do it at all today. And I mean... it was compulsive, I would see a package of open cookies and I'd just grab some because, why not? It's open! No second thoughts, no remorse. My lack of self control was totally out of whack and I don't think I really noticed until today.:dizzy:

Thank you, ladies! I'm on my third week so far and I've lost 9 lbs in the past two. I'm very excited to keep going, and I'm really getting a hang of things. Also yesterday one of my classmates pointed out I was thinner. Well, hello there! Hahaha! ;)
