really want to succeed this time
 

I am 34 and have been overweight since I was a child. I am tired of being embarrassed of how I look but more importantly I'm at an age were I am now worried about my health. Anyway I hope that this forum will be a tool to help me succeed. I am afraid but hopeful.

Please don't be embarrassed. You'll be effectively telling your body that you don't like it. Instead we can accept the current reality for what it is with a neutral stance. We can love and nurture our bodies, and before you know it...enough time has passed and everything will look totally different! Then you'll look back and wonder why were you telling yourself things like that before, and you'll have so much compassion and understanding for others who have been in the same situation.
