Quick Intro :)
Hi, my name is Kimberly. I used to be a member here a long time ago and enjoyed it, but fell off the wagon as I got busy with life. I decided now is a good time to come back and find support and encouragement :)
I'm 48 years old, and at my highest I weighed over 290lbs. As of this morning, I am at 214.2lbs, which is exciting! I've lost most of this weight over the last 10 years or so, but with a recent promise of type 2 Diabetes (It runs in my family and my mom was just diagnosed with it) I'm having to focus in on losing the weight and controlling my diet or facing a very real problem with my health. Over the last month I've begun walking during my morning and afternoon breaks, and 2 weeks ago I joined a gym to take advantage of the exercise equipment, 30 minute circuit and convenience. I started out at just over 222lbs and am thrilled to see a loss of 8lbs in that month! I'd like to keep the motivation going, so I thought that coming here would be a great way to make that happen. :flow1: :) |
Hi DaisyBelle! :welcome: BACK! Congrats on the weight lost so far! Woohoo! Consider joining one or more of the challenge threads under "Chicks Up for a Challenge." They are a great way to stay motivated and accountable. Good luck!
