Hello, all.
I'm a new member, looking for a bit of community and a bit of support. And to offer a bit of both myself.
I've got a fair bit of weight to lose and have to get at it fairly seriously.
The immediate incentive is the fact I've come through cancer treatment happy and healthy, but know that I've got to reform a lot of my habits if I'm going to stay that way.
The other reasons? I just want the usual things: to fit back into my fabulous old clothes, to be able to keep up with my ancient dog when I walk him, to get back on my bike and be able to get it up both hills between my home and my job. To move easier, feel lighter. Maybe even gat back to running and swimming. Some of that is complicated by joint problems left over from chemo and radiation, but a lot of it is just extra weight and lack of regular exercise.
I'm happy to be here and I'm feeling optimistic -- at least I will be if I can find a way to stick to the plan I've laid out. Sticking to things doesn't seem to be my strength these days, for lots of reasons.
But for now, I'm trying to be a glass-half-full kind of woman.
Full of lemon water. Not chocolate milk. Right?

I stopped caring for the last week about what I ate, however, I feel positive and I'm not going to let the last week push me to fall deeper into shame haha. Good luck and don't give up!
