Hello! Weight loss after an ED
Hello all!!
So, I've struggled with an eating disorder for about 15 years. After a stint in treatment last year, I'm on a good path to recover. I'm doing well, but in the process of recovering and figuring out how to eat normally again, I've gained a lot of unnecessary weight. Let me emphasize that word unnecessary. I'm now right over the cusp in the obese category according to my BMI. So that really needs to be taken care of in a healthy way! I know eating disorders and weight loss typically don't go hand in hand, but if you've struggled with BED or EDNOS, you know that being overweight with an ED is not uncommon. So it's time for me to get healthy, and in the healthy way. I want to get back to being active and not feeling so out of shape. So, just saying hi. And if anyone has struggled with an ED and wants to chat, feel free to PM me!! Here's to my journey! |

Welcome Wild.
I also have struggled with an ED. Like you I was left with quite a lot of extra weight to deal with. 285+ at the height of bingeing to 250ish in the past number of years. Every past diet attempt was a white knuckle ride but this time, eating to live is a completely new experience. FWIW, I get it. Again, welcome! Cathy |
