Inspired, and saying hello
Hello, everyone! I am so grateful for this site. For the past week, every time I headed to my pantry to eat something redonkulous and unnecessary, I decided to read this message board instead. The successes and struggles have been inspirational. I am so very relieved to meet other people who have a considerable amount of weight to lose (or have lost it, or are on the journey of losing it!)
My weight has been creeping up over the years and this is the very first time I have ever tried to do something about it. I was so afraid to fail, I didn't even want to try. I've never formally dieted before, and have a lot to learn. So far I'm just eating somewhat healthier, somewhat less, and being somewhat more active. It's taken me for-e-ver to even lose 20+ lbs (in about 3 1/2 months.) One of my biggest challenges is drinking enough water every day. |

I'm just like you when it comes to drinking water. I used to hardly ever drink it and then I tried the 8 glasses a day and felt like I was drowning!! I don't keep up with what all I drink because then I feel like I"m in a crunch but I found just having a glass water around I tend to drink more. All I drink now is water or vitamin water zero. I probably now drink between 7-9 glasses a day. You're doing great though! You've already lost 20+ pounds which is awesome! Congrats on that! You're off to a wonderful start. |

Monkeyruler164, I started to position water bottles around the house at my usual hangout points and in the car as well. I'm hoping that reminds me to sip throughout the day, lol. I'll let you know how it goes! Thank you for the encouragement :) |
