Trying something new

For the past three days I've been on a feeding frenzy. First day, no big deal, second day- blamed it on hormones, today kept getting on the scales to see if the one had changed to a 2. Last time I looked it said 199.5, so I had a fudgecicle. I've maintained a 60 pound weight loss for a couple of years and my weight has been creeping up for the past couple of months. Hoping the support and ideas here will put me back on the track I know I need to be on but can't seem to find it on my own.

it's amazing how these things can creep back up on us even after years of "good behavior"...I wish you good luck, even though it usually takes more than that ;)

I was off the wagon to this week. I stopped the binge with a combo of (1) forcing myself to stay in, (2) eating gum, sugar free popsicles, or veggies sticks to stop the slide and (3) ignoring the scale. Sucrets also work for me if I just can't get a grip.

I find if I can just get ONE clean day under my belt I can stop the slide.

Can I just say though.. when I cheat, I often weight 5 lbs more immediately, and that used to depress me until I realized, it was just the weight of the food. I mean 5 days later after it moves through your body, very likely, you will be back down to your weight and not a lot more. So don't let that extra weight deter you.
