Looking for a support system
I found the site through a google search and decided to join based solely on the name :D
I'm a very tall and very heavy chick with a lot of weight to lose and a lot of muscle to gain, I'm okay with that but I lack any sort of support structure. My sister is my only support but she has 3 adopted kids ranging from 14yrs to 2yrs, a fulltime job, and college... so she is usually pretty busy. I live with my mother who... for as much as I love her, is abysmal at being supportive. She got pizza tonight and kept asking me if I was sure I didn't want any :| then tried to give me her leftovers after the fact.
So that's why I'm here... I feel like having a group of people that will help me hold myself accountable will do me a world of good. My willpower has increased tremendously in the last few weeks (I've just stumbled over the 50lbs lost milestone november to may) but I fear it will sink again, and when it does I'll have no one to fall back on for support.
I'm usually a very quiet person as far as forums are concerned, I've been a member of a few different ones for many years (some even close to a decade) and only made a handful of posts on any of them, but I really want to work to open up... be supportive as well as hopefully get support. So if I seem weird or awkward or something, it's just me being socially anxious (yes, even online)
