Hihi!
Let's see here... where to start...
I've always been a bigger girl. In school I was always the "fat friend" and at that point I didn't care all that much. I chalked it up to my whole family being overweight and figured I was doomed to be overweight for the rest of my life (pretty deep stuff to think about starting at the age of 13). Since high school I have struggled with my weight, participated in fad diets, yo-yo'd my weight so much that even I didn't know what was going on. I know I was unhappy, but that didn't have a ton to do with my weight, it was the rest of my life. My weight just suffered because of it. March 2012: I made big changes in my life and now, here I am, just over a year later, and I'm finally ready to get my health on track. I've been eating healthy (and proportionately) and working out on a regular basis for two months now and I've seen amazing results. I'm using SparkPeople to track my food because, let's face it, I suck at writing stuff down in a note book and keeping it with me. I have an app on my phone and it's become second nature to just plug in my meals. I have quite a ways to go before I hit my overall goal, but that's ok. Slow and steady gets lasting results, right? |

Yup, slow and steady wins the race. If you lose weight too fast, you run the risk of gaining in back all over again in a few years time. Do expect that it might take a year, or slightly less, to lose it all. :) If you hit a rough patch, don't hesitate to post something on this forum. We all have off days :) I have one yesterday. :goodluck: |
