Hi;
I'm new here.
I'm Lori, 40, from Washington State. I'm a mom of 7 with 5 of them under 10. Life is really busy. I have Fibromyalgia, Diabetes Type 1, a kidney issue and ME (similar to CFS). I have about 100 lbs to lose.
Was doing really well until about 17 months ago when my kidney quit working. I had 7 surgeries in one year. My dr just released me to start walking for exercise again. I'm having a horrid time with my diet. I love Bob Harpers Skinny Rules. They make perfect sense. However, I have horrible insomnia and tend to binge eat at night. It's so horrid!
Anyhow, I'm here for support and hoping to make it to my goal this year.

I am in the Stevenson area. So, SW Washington. We go in to the Portland/Vancouver area weekly and my husband works for the big hospital in Vancouver. Thanks so much for the welcome!

Wow! You have definitely had some challenges. Welcome! You will definitely find a lot of support and motivation here.

WELCOME! I live close to you too, just a stones throw away in N. Oregon. :) I'm so sorry you went through that, you must be incredibly strong. Well, IMO any mama raising 5 kids under 10 is a hero! Best of luck on your new path! I'm doing a lot of walking myself. :)

Hey! How would us northern Oregon/SW Washington people like to get together sometime? I'd love to make some friends going through similar things and swap stories, ideas, etc. Maybe meet in Portland or Vancouver?

I'd be up for it too. I have SO benefited from "meeting" the ladies of 3FC online, I've never had anybody that can really relate to and openly discuss weight issues. How wonderful it has been to discover I am not alone. I'm near Portland and Vancouver would be a fun adventure too! :)

I would love to meet up!! I could go for East Vancouver area.

Ok, I am open to either, although doesnt Portland have more activities? What do you guys like to do? Theater, museums, dancing, Tulip fesitival, beach? I think we could make a weekend of it for people who have to commute.
