Hi! Thanks for the reply! I'd love to keep in touch and support each other on our journey!
I've been watching calories in general and have been doing cardio and circuit machines at the gym. I've been back on the wagon for 10 days and am still in the starving mode, lol
Also, I need to update my profile as I ballooned back up to 180. My 163 is a thing of the past, haha

I have a lot more to lose than 40 lbs BUT I'd like to lose 44 lbs before my birthday in about 4 months so even though we have different end games, I'd love to help give & receive support.

Awesome! The more support, the better! :) How are you ladies doing today? I went off my diet a bit tonight and consumed more liquid calories than planned. Damn it! :(

I'd love to join in! I just joined the Forum yesterday and my weight stats are similar to yours, fresno. I started out at 190 back in early March, have made my way down to 176.5 and my goal is 130 (I'm an inch or so shorter than you). I'm 55 and it's tough to lose weight at my age.

I'm doing great today. I've been bouncing back and forth between 178 and 181 for the past two weeks, but I had a long chat with my son two days ago (he's 31 and a personal trainer) and he gave me some pointers. I don't know if it was the pointers or just luck, but this morning I clocked in at 176.5. I hope it sticks and that I started heading South not North on the scales next week. It just drives me nuts when I stick to my diet and exercise plan and the darn scale goes up...aaggh...

Hi, I'm new to the forum as well. I'm also looking for a buddy to join this escapade. I have tried many times before to lose weight but was unsuccessful, today, is a big step for me. Starting tomorrow, I will watch what I eat, start walking and sleeping earlier.
I'm at 180lbs and my goal is 120lbs, very much possible to lose but not in a month's time. Every month, starting May, I'd like to lose between 6-10 pounds, is this even possible? :)

Good luck to us and cheers!

thedonya: A reasonable weight loss expectation would be between 1lb to 2 lbs per week...so your 6-10 lbs is possible (although 10 might be a stretch, particularly after the first month or so).
