Hello Everyone... Again

  • I am writing to say hi to my fellow 3FC bloggers and just beat myself up for a minute. I had successfully lost about 70 pounds- but failed to keep it off. Now I am at 194 and am looking to lose this weight permanently! I feel frustrated because it happened again and also because I am the stereotypical dieter studies mention. Those that gain "all the weight back"...

I guess I am here because I hope to get it right and start actually living the life I want to. I am tired of being the "fat" girl (though never will be tired of being a 3FC!). But in order to reach my goals and actually maintain them- I have to really change.

I am an extreme eater to the T and fell into my normal bad eating habits again plus eating large quantities. This especially has been present during my graduate school career. I am always saying "tomorrow" and looking up some crazy fad diet. I want to lose weight by not restricting myself and developing life long habits. Crazy right? Well hope everyone is having a great evening and making great choices.

I am going to start posting my meals because I feel it will be helpful. I have an online app on my phone to track calories but the more I share the more feedback and support I can get! And boy do I need it.

  • to you! You know how to do it. Just gotta do it and stick with it. I wish you a happy journey and hope to see you around the threads!!

Challenges are fun and they seem to help (me)
  • Glad to have you join us! Have you thought about exercise? If so, what do you have in mind? I found exercise speeds up my weight loss and helps keep from going through plateaus. My doc advised me to drink 1/2 my weight in water (up to 100 oz max per day) and then at least wight 8 oz glasses of water per day. Exercising and drinking the water helped me lose 86 lbs in 9 months back in 2006.
  • Welcome and good luck on your journey!!
  • Thanks guys! Yes I have thought about exercise and definitely will be looking for advice come May when I graduate and am ready! Congrats on everyone's progress and thanks for the welcome!
