What a great site! Hi y'all!
I've been scanning the forums and I'm so impressed with how motivational and inspiring everyone is in this online community. I just joined and today is the first day I'm trying to lose the weight from two pregnancies and years of emotional eating. My main priority is losing weight while keeping my energy level up and still getting all my nutrients. I've dieted before and it's never worked. I'm looking to change my relationship with food and make sure what I put in my body isn't empty calories.
I'm going to miss wine though ;) Hope everyone else is doing well on their journey. Heres hoping I can do as well as y'all! |
Hey there Colorado! Welcome aboard! I just joined too, and really like it. People here are very inspiring! I know that we can do this! It seems so obtainable once I've seen all these other people do it!
Way to go for having the courage to do it! There are all kinds of support groups on here for emotional eating. I know this journey will be tough, but we're tougher  |
:welcome2:
Do you know what plan you are going to use? If not, read through the threads. You will find so many different programs that people here have used to make lifestyle changes. Find something you think you can live with. This is a wonderful place for support. People here will celebrate your victories and listen when you need to rant. I look forward to reading your posts and seeing your progress. |
Hi ColoradoK,
Wishing you success on your weightloss journey! What? No wine? LOL How about a glass of wine for every 5 lbs lost? (I actually have given up chocolate, not missing it, yet!) See you around the boards! |

Thanks you guys for the warm welcome :)
To answer your question,Irish, I am doing clean eating for my nightly meals and replacing breakfast/dinner meals with green smoothies with some protein powder. I won't do the two smoothies for too long....just as a kick start until I get the hang of making sure dinners are healthy and the right amount of calories. Besides not having to worry much amount calories in the smoothies since my green smoothies are around 300 calories, I know I'm getting fruits and veggies for the day. The other thing I'm trying to do is drink way more water because I tend to reach for diet soda first. I'm not doing any fad diets...l mostly need to learn not reach for food when I'm stressed/bored/sad and portion control. Now that the snow has melted I will walk a little each day since winter has kept me inside for months. |
Welcome!
