Try try and try again!
Hi all! My name's Jessica, and I live in Alabama, US.
I'm a college student and am trying yet again to get a handle on the horror show that is my relationship with the scale. I have never successfully lost weight in my life, instead just slowly gaining. I went from a child beauty queen to an obese woman. It's all very depressing, I know, but I am trying to turn it around! I should also mention a couple years ago, I got thrown out of a golf cart and tore my achilles tendon. Since I didn't have insurance, I couldn't get it looked at by a doctor, so it still causes me problems. For example, I can't run very far without the bad leg cramping terribly. Athough I am happy to report before I started trying, I could only run a few paces before the cramping, and now I can do 30 second sprints without too much pain. Someday I WILL run again, though! I'm not looking for a thigh gap or anything; I just want to be healthy enough to get pregnant and live a long life. So that's me, and I can't wait to get to know all of you! |
Welcome Jessica!
There are lots of forums on here asking about different exercises to do due to different injuries! Good luck with everything and I hope to see you around! |
Hi Jessica, I'm new too!
I'm starting with diet slowly and will add exercise later so maybe that's a starting point for you. And could you swim? |
I do have access to the school natatorium for the next few months before I graduate, but the thought of wearing a swimsuit is appalling...
