On a mission to lose AT LEAST 40 lbs before my sister's wedding at the end of Oct. I am going to be the maid of honor and for once, I want to feel GREAT about myself and how I look. Any support, advice, etc would be wonderful. As soon as I get paid next, I am going to join LA Fitness and start doing Zumba 3x a week. My plan is to have a personal training session to figure out my best course of action for the other two days. I think I have diet down (I hope:dizzy:) Best of luck to everyone!!!!

Welcome! I'm new too~ And I have the same goal to lose 40lbs as well. But before Aug. And I feel that might be pretty realistic. Hehe.

And Man do I feel ya about the Maid of Honor thing...I was humiliated at my friends wedding when I was determined to lose weight before the weddding but she insisted we purchase our 250 dresses about 8 months prior. I bought a size 18, and i used it as an excuse to not lose any weight before the wedding in the end. I saw the pictures and was mortified. I wound up using the ugly thing as a Christmas tree skirt the following year!

@Bex--my other sister got married 2 years ago. The pictures of me were so horrid that she could not use any of them. I am in none of the albums or anything for the wedding!! I am mortified to this day---will NOT have that happen again!

Torii--I think your goal is completely reasonable! I'm just the slowest loser ever=(

I agree with you both on the picture thing. BLECK. it's so hard for me to take a good photo..
