Looking for Community

Hello Hello!
I am just now discovering this site and am intrigued by the forum layout and thought it was worth posting an intro to get started myself!

I'm a 32yr old, Registered Nurse, living in the Midwest. I have tried e.v.e.r.y.t.h.i.n.g. there is to try when it comes to diet and weight loss. I've been overweight pretty much for the last 16 years of my life, and have struggled with pretty much every emotion that goes along with this struggle.

This month I decided that I am really going to do something about this. My self-declared motto for myself is "in order to change...I actually have to change"! I know, deep stuff, right? But this, for me, summarizes why i have been so unsuccessful with dieting and lifestyle change in the past...I want to "have my cake and eat it to", if that makes sense. My friends, I have realized that this simply cannot be.

So, I actually took a step and have hired a trainer. So far, when it comes to eating, i am only tracking my calories with MyFitnessPal....but I am pondering doing something different or tweaking this in some way as well...

i struggle with binge-eating. Particularly in the area of sugar and sweets. L-O-V-E them. Sugar, with a side of sugar...that is my typical diet.

So......working out....eating better.....changing my life. These are my goals.

Saying it is one thing...actually doing it is another....this leads me to reach out in search of community!! :smug:

Look forward to connecting in some way with others!

:welcome: It sounds like you are really ready to make some awesome changes! You have come to the right place. Most of us are trying to do the exact same thing. I suggest starting with the 30-somethings, 100lb club and calorie counters! You will find many like minded folks ready to help:)

Good luck on your journey!
