I was a lurker.

Hi everyone, I've been overviewing this site for awhile. I think this is the place for me. I can't tell you the number of times I joined WW to only fail after a few months. So now I'm doing it on my own from the literature I got last year. I don't think I can do this on my own. So I need to be here where there is lots of encourageing folks. I'm 60 years old and don't want to go another year being unhealthy and overweight. I want to be a slim :carrot:vibrant woman when I retire!.

You have come to the best place. TRULY! Everyone here is supportive and someone will almost always have an answer for you if you have a question or if you need help. There are so many threads of challenges that help and laughs too. You can do this! Just like us... we are all on this journey together.

Thanks everyone. Now all I have to do is find some forums. There are so many to choose.

I'm with you on being a lurker, I'm too chicken to post anything for fear of sounding like a idiot. I've been over weight all my life and 9 months ago I finally decided it was time to make the leap onto the weight loss wagon. It's been a tumultuous 9 months, loooots of ups n downs though feels like I have more downs then ups. I've been stuck for about 4.5 months and about ready to pull my hair out, I know it takes a long time to take the weight off sensibly but I never thought I would be this slow of a process. I have terrible self esteem and body image of myself and as I lose weight I find I struggle even more so with it. I thought I would see myself in a better light the more I lost but it's not happening, I feel like I look bigger now then when I was at my heaviest (messed up eh). Geez that was way more then I planned on saying, sorry for the long post
