New to dieting and 3FC
Hi Everyone

I found this website a week ago when I got motivated and decided to do something serious about my weight. I have loved read about people's success stories and finding the answers to my questions. So thank you to all of you for sharing your journeys with people like me. Now I hope to add my success story over the next few months.

My name's Machelle and I'm 27. I always been the chubby friend ever since I was a teenager but my weight never really bothered my until the last year or two.
I've always been an stress/emotional eater and the last couple of years have been a real rollercoaster for me. I had two kids, married into a very dysfunctional family and hardest of all, fought for my 15 month old daughter as she battled cancer and lost an eye. As a result, I ballooned to my highest weight of 209 pounds. I've found myself avoiding photos with my kids, avoiding socialising and I'm running out of wearable clothes because I refuse to go shopping for new ones because I don't want to be faced with my size.

So, a week ago, I started a new diet calorie counting and my goal is to be at 145 lbs by Christmas. My husband, kids and I are going to spend a week at the beach and I want to buy a new swimsuit and feel comfortable in it when we are playing on the beach together.

It's an ambitious goal, but I'm finding it reasonably easy at the moment. My motivation is really strong and dh has joined me on a diet and is a great support. My first week I've dropped 5 pounds, :carrot: but I'm aware this will be mostly water weight.

So here we go...
Thanks for reading and I look forward to joining you guys on 3FC
