Yup I'm new.
Hi! My name is Leslie. I have decided, again, that I need to get healthy. I've tried dieting in the past. Counting calories. Portion control. Both separately and together. Last year, I did my first crash diet, dropped 20lb in a month. And gained it all back plus 10 more. That wouldn't be a problem except that it concentrated in my abdomen. Yuck! I don't have a stopping weight yet. I'm currently 230lb. So here I am, looking for support and community.

:welcome:!! May I ask what are you doing this time to keep it off and/or to make this a life-long change?

Welcome! :)
I do Intuitive Eating and while it's not for everyone, at the beginning I spent a while working out which foods made me really hungry (for me: sugary stuff) and which don't (protein & veggies). I totally recommend doing this whatever plan you choose, it's helped me make the future changes stick better, and recover more easily from setbacks :) Best of luck and congrats on making the decision to join! Great support all over this forum :) |
Welcome! Good luck on your journey! You have come to the right place!!

I plan to focus mostly on exercise and being active. I'm not active now. I don't have the patience to count calories. And most "diet" food has artificial sweeteners which give me headaches.
