Hi, Im new here :)

Hello everyone, I finally made it on here after reading the forums with my smartphone for months. I just got internet so I can actually enjoy spending some time posting my journey and making new friends!

So a little about me:

Im a single mom with a three yr old girl. I live in Canada and go to school full time here for criminology and anthropology. I used to be a bodybuilder, powerlifter and professional fighter in Mixed Martial Arts. I competed in jiujitsu and attained world class levels. I have always struggled with my weight and fitness was a way for me to attack it. I still managed to gain back the weight I lost when I competed in a bodybuilding show, and never lost it again.

Then four yrs ago, I became pregnant and unable to work out. i also got gestational diabetes that was undiagnosed for most of my pregnancy but not before I gained 70 lbs. So when I gave birth I weighed 260 lbs. I was involved in four car accidents that prevented me from returning to jiujitsu and kickboxing and only recently have I been able to get in the gym thanks to a kinesiologist. It is very slow going tho, and my diet is not great thanks to being poor. But I am done making excuses.

time for me to kick my rear in gear. I have overcome so much in the last few yrs that this should be a breeze, but of course its not that easy. I own a kinect for my xbox360 and have the Biggest Loser program, jsut need to turn it on!! But enough about me, I need to leave some juicy details for my own blog haha!!

I am looking forward to meeting new ppl !!!

Tam

That's good. Sorry to hear about the health problems & injuries. They do create a big challenge, as you already know from reading these posts.

Keep us informed - pretty soon we'll be coming to you for work-out advice!!!

I am new here too although I have been on a weigh loss journey pretty much my whole life.
Have started dieting when i was about 14 and have been up and down my whole life!
Recently (this past fall) have found a new diet, new lifestyle, that has helped me lose a lot of weight (have to go back to my regiment after a long break after the Holidays).
Have recently signed up to a gym and personal training (starting tomorrow, had a flu and could not start) and hoping to get back to my weigh loss goals!
