HI there! New and need support!
Hi there, I am new here. I lost over 126 lbs. and kept if off until I broke my ankle in scrimmage prior to a game in the sport I played. About 8 months ago I started eating out of depression as the past 18 months have been awful. My sister passed away, I lost my job, I quite my league and moved to another then right before my bout I severely broke my ankle which resulted in two surgeries. This was all in 2011.
I did ok up until 8 months ago when all the previous stuff just came forward and I crashed. I ate my emotions, hid from my friends, Got cleared by my orthopedist to play again, played one game and the fear of getting injured again took over and its been difficult to go back, I am working in our family busienss which is so stressful and all the people I work with are awful So I ate. and ate and ate. Now, I am at 276 lbs. 50 lbs. away from my starting weight. My husband is wonderfully supportive regardless, and yet I treat him badly because I am so unhappy. I want my life back. How do I do this? So I just dumped it all out there. Thank you for reading and I hope maybe there is someone out there who can relate. THANKS! |

What a rough time you've had lately, I'm glad you found 3FC. I'm sorry to hear about your sister; I lost my sister in 1996 and it still seems like yesterday. There isn't a day that goes by that I don't think of her and miss her. Getting your life back starts with small changes that will lead to so many good results! Adding a little exercise being cautious of your ankle and making good food choices (and maybe tracking them on a site like myfitnesspal.com) will be the easiest things to start with. And...try to be good to your husband. Having a supportive husband will be one of the most important things in your weightloss efforts. I couldn't have done what I have without my dear husband and the people on this site. Supportive people are far and few between in life it seems, especially in regards to weightloss. I'm glad you joined today, it's the first step in making the changes you want! |
