I've been calling myself chunky
 

I've been doing it for years, 'chunky' 'chunkylicious' etc
truth is i'm obese. I've used humour as my way of brushing over the issue. 'my arse won't fit in these jeans I'm too chunkylicious'
my weight has been up and down more often than i care to remember. lowest adult weight 133llbs highest adult weight 250llbs.
when i got married i went on a stupid fad diet that got me down to 168llbs but that was 2 1/2 years ago. since then i've given up smoking and my weight crept back on to where i was 2 weeks ago 233llbs.
this time i don't want to go up and down i just want to get the extra weight off permenantly.
I am hoping that using this site will enable me to be honest with myself and have other people be honest with me in return.

I think a lot of us here have had the same experience - we get used to our weights being too much but address it with humor or even denial - I'm not obese, I'm just curvy.

Um, no...I'm obese. There was nothing worse than calculating my BMI and seeing it not in the overweight category like it used to be but in the obese I category. Such a low!

You are in good company here - post often and engage yourself in the conversations - we will all get there together!
