I've been lurking here for months and I finally thought I should register. I'll try to post more; it takes me a while to get comfy.
I started my weight-loss goal 11 months ago when my youngest was six months old. I was 222 pounds and still had not shed all of the baby weight. My highest ever pre-pregnancy weight was 219. I started by counting calories and doing the C25K. I got as low as 186 and then just starting getting in a rut. My running dropped down to twice a week, then once a week, then not much at all. Over the holidays I gained 8 pounds. EIGHT! So I started counting calories again and now I'm running and I just began the 30-day Shred yesterday. I'm just looking for more motivation.
I picked my goal weight as the upper limit on the BMI scale. I know that scale has some issues, but I just needed something to target, and it's been so long since I've been a "normal" weight, I'm not even sure what looks good on me. So, I might re-evaluate when I get closer to that goal. I might need to lose more, or that might be too much. We'll see. I haven't been under 170 in 12 years and this is the first time I've been under 200 since I got married over eight years ago!
Hello, all!
