New year, New life

Hello all,

I'm a 22 year old female from Ontario Canada. I've been battling weight issues since as long as I can remember, although the past 6 years have been the worst. It started when I got my first boyfriend (and still only <3) and every since I got 'comfortable' I let myself go.

Now I weigh 242 lbs. I'm 5'8. Luckily I carry it well and am proportioned to a T. However I feel very low about myself and my self respect, which scares me. I've done the typical yo yo diet before quite a few times. Given up for various reasons. Had plenty of excuses for a long time but enough is enough.

I've been wanting to kick start a new lifestyle for a long time and decided it needs to be done NOW. I have set a GW1:180 and given how I feel at that point, GW2:160.

I've bought an app for my phone to track absolutly EVERYTHING i put in my mouth. Luckily where I work has given me free resources to weight training. AND, there is a place nearby that has 'pay as you go' fitness classes which I will be starting Monday. This is my plan:

Sunday- take the pup for a walk
Monday-Fitness Class, circuit training 60 minutes
Tuesday- Upper & Lower body strength training
Wednesday- Fitness Class, circuit training 60 minutes
Thursday-Core strength training
Friday- 30 minute minimum brisk walk
Saturday- I'm free.

Combining this with a 1200-1550 calorie diet.
135-252 grams of carbs
27-60 grams of fat
60-136 grams of protein.
PLENTY of water.

I bought Whey protein powder for early mornings and post workout smoothies.

I need to do this. For myself, for my health, my family, my boyfriend, my future children. Hardest part is the motivation!

Any tips or suggestions will be greatly appreciated as well as support, motivation and friendships. I look forward to getting to know you guys!

Remington :)

Thanks! I see we've started out at the same weight. What did you do to get the 26lbs off so far ? Congrats on that by the way! I can't wait to be able to even claim 26lbs. What an accomplishment.
