Hello everyone :)

Hello, I thought that I would join a forum community to help me motivate myself to lose my 50 lbs to my goal weight, maybe by the end of the year.

So, story time with Tia.

When I was a freshman in high school, I was 95 lbs and a size 3. Although I was small, I knew I was somewhat unhealthy because of the restrictions of my asthma and me not being as active as I was when I was a kid. I would skip across the street and my heart rate would spike up to 180 bpm. When junior year rolled around, and I got a car, we were allowed to eat off-campus. So, my boyfriend at the time and I decided to use the free coupons to go to Burger King to save money. However, due to eating BK every day, I gained weight, and graduated high school at 135lbs and a size 6.

Freshman year in college (2007), my dorm was on top of a very steep hill that I had to climb at least 3x a day, so I didn't get the typical "freshman 15" but just maintained my weight. It wasn't until junior year when I was living on the on-campus apartments on flat ground when I started gaining again. I went from 135 to 160 in only 3 months, eating pretty much white pasta and various sauces every day to save money. I decided that summer to get it in gear to lose that weight. I went on Jillian's 30 day shred, walked the dogs 3x a day, and did the Abs diet by David Zinczenko (eating 5x a day, never feeling full nor hungry). I lost 20 lbs in a summer and felt great. However, going back to college and the stresses of senior year, I gained that weight back on and more, and by November 2011, I was at my biggest at 170 (ish) and a size 16.

So from my new job, I decided to take most of my money and dedicate it to joining a gym and getting a personal trainer. I was going at it for a good 6 months, lost 15 lbs and dropped from a size 16 to a size 10. Due to medical reasons, I stopped going for a few months, then I started my Masters program, quit working, I didn't go back dedicated to the gym. I did do a few things to change my eating habits and lost another 5 lbs and to a size 8.

Currently, I am a size 8 and 150 lbs. I wish to get back on the bandwagon of healthy living and get motivated. I asked my parents for a kinect, so I have some fitness games to do. I still have the responsibility of walking the dogs every day. So yeah. That is my shpeal. I hope to find a tight knit group here to get me motivated again.

Thanks for reading ;)
