One pound at a time

Hello Everyone! :)

I've seen this website a few times, and I finally
took the plunge and became a member.

I see this as a way to
  • get inspired,
  • share my progress, and
  • stay motivated towards my goal.

My goal is to lose over 100lbs.
While the number is large, I remind
myself that there are many people
who have lost 100+lbs. Therefore,
I should be encouraged by their success.

I realize that my past attempts to lose weight
have fluctuated for three main reasons: motivation,
discipline, and consistency. I'll spend more time
taking deliberate actions to overcome each those challenges.

What's Next?
  1. I'll finalize my nutrition plan and exercise schedule tonight.
  2. I plan to motivate myself by creating a vision board on pinterest of what my ideal body is and I plan to include the healthy food recipes, exercise tips, and nutrition information.
  3. I will write a blog post twice a week to chart my progress and to share candid progress updates as well as weekly images.
  4. I want to challenge myself to come up with 100 reasons why I want to lose weight, something I can refer back to on a daily basis. I want it to remain top of mind.

Questions
  1. Do you motivate yourself daily?
  2. Whose story has inspired you to reach your goals? :D
  3. How has this website benefited you?

Thank you Misti for the welcome! :thanks:

I like how you've posted a long term goal ticker as well as a short term ticker. It encourages one to focus on the smaller goals. Reminds me of that phrase, "How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time." I'll definitely focus on creating short term goals to motivate myself.

:dizzy: There are so many site features to explore.
I am still familiarizing myself with it.
I'll resume by reading success stories. :cp:

Thank you Mozzy for the welcome.

Congratulations on your weight loss so far!
I like how you set mini goals for yourself.
It really is easier to lose 5lbs 20 times. :)

Welcome!!!

I love the 100 reasons idea and may have to steal it!

I have strayed from my weight loss goals in the past, but have always found myself coming back here when I decide to get serious again as everyone is so understanding. Many share in my experiences and it is wonderful to be able to relate to others when I feel like I'm surrounded by people at home that don't have a clue. There are tons of inspirational stories on here that I love to look at whenever I start feeling down.
